Recruitment & contractor sourcing

01 Finding people

We find self-employed contractors in our sectors and connect them with the agencies and businesses that need them. Contractors get a shortlist of two or three agencies that genuinely place in their trade and region, rather than a directory. Businesses get vetted agencies by sector — or, where there is no hiring function at all, we run the hiring for them.

Free to agencies and contractors; our partners pay us.

What you get

  • A shortlist of two or three agencies that genuinely place in your trade and region, chosen from a panel we have already checked.
  • One conversation that covers the work and how you will be paid, because the two decisions are connected.
  • For businesses, vetted agencies by sector, or the hiring run for you where there is no hiring function at all.
  • Contract, temp, permanent, retained and statement-of-works roles, with international permanent search where a role cannot be filled at home.
  • No fee to agencies or contractors: the partner pays us, and we say so plainly when we cannot help.

Find me work

This is the main event, not an afterthought: finding self-employed contractors is what the rest of the business runs on.

You're a contractor

Find me work

We introduce you to agencies that genuinely place in your trade and your region — not a list of everyone we know, a shortlist of two or three. Then we sort out how you'll be paid, because the two decisions are connected.

You need people

Contractors on site, on the ward or on the project. We introduce vetted agencies by sector and region, or run the hiring for you if you'd rather not build a function.

Talk about hiring

How it works

  1. 01

    Assess

We look at the shape of the workforce: sectors, volumes, where people are placed and the risk you carry.

  2. 02

    Compare

Every route that genuinely fits goes on the table, with liability, administration and cost set out the same way.

  3. 03

    Introduce

Two or three providers from a panel we have already checked. If none is right, we say so.

The things people ask before they ring

Nothing. We are paid by the partners we introduce you to, not by you. That is also why we will tell you when we do not have a good answer — there is no fee riding on you saying yes.

No. We are an independent advisory that introduces you to the right agency for your sector, and arranges the business services behind it. Where a business has no hiring function at all, we can run the recruitment for them.

Because an agency makes money filling roles it has been given. If it has no live client in your trade and your region, your CV sits in a database as a hypothetical. Three agencies that genuinely place your discipline in your area will do more for you than twenty that have you on file, so we introduce two or three from a panel we have already checked, and where we cannot help we say so rather than taking your details.

Yes. Where a business has no hiring function at all, we can run the recruitment for them: contract, temp, permanent, retained and statement of works, with international permanent search where a role cannot be filled at home. That is the exception rather than the usual answer. Most businesses are better served by an introduction to vetted agencies that place in their sector and region.

Because the two decisions are connected. A headline rate means very little until you know how it will be paid: the same figure through a PAYE umbrella and through agency PAYE can land differently in your account. So alongside the agency introduction we look at the payroll route that fits the engagement, including whether the work is in the UK, Ireland or elsewhere in Europe.

Fifteen minutes will tell you where you stand

Whether you're a contractor after your next job, an agency placing across Europe, or a business that needs people found, paid and funded — start with a conversation. It costs nothing and we'll tell you honestly if we can't help. No form to fill in first.
